Jonathan Green 3 lb. Black Beauty Shady Nooks Grass Seed Mixture. It is specially formulated to survive in damp or dry shady areas, even between and under extremely densely shaded trees. This proprietary blend of Black Beauty turf-type tall fescues and hard fescues requires less food and water than competitor’s mixtures, making it ideal for shady lawns that receive less sunlight. It germinates in 10 – 14 days and grows deep shade right up to the base of trees. Use only Jonathan Green’s Seeding and Sodding Fertilizer which contains phosphorus to encourage deep root growth.
