Description
Forney 1/2 lb. Super Sil-Flo Rod is a copper welding rod that is used for welding copper and copper alloys. It has a diameter of 1/8 inch, a length of 18 inches, and a tensile strength of 40,000 pounds per square inch. It has a deep penetration and a working temperature of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. This rod is self-fluxing on copper and is ideal for large and small copper tubing installations. Typical applications include refrigeration control valves (copper and brass), joining copper wires to rotor bars, electrical connections, radiant heating systems, air conditioning units, hot and cold water lines, and heat exchanges. It is not recommended for ferrous metals such as iron or steel.
